No union dues, no job

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (CN) — A Pennsylvania federal judge dismisses civil rights claims brought by the Allentown Symphony’s principal timpanist, who says he was unfairly fired for ceasing union payments. The Supreme Court’s Janus ruling only held that public employees should be barred from mandatory payment of dues, whereas the symphony union is a private actor.
