No Texting for Young Drivers in Missouri

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (CN) - Starting today, Missouri prohibits texting while driving - but only for drivers under 21. Twenty-two other states have laws that ban texting while driving, but Missouri is the only one that singles out a particular age group.

The law bans sending, reading or writing text messages while driving, but only applies to people younger than 21. The fine is $200.
