AUSTIN (CN) - A promoter staged kick boxing and mixed martial arts fights at two sports bars, and advertised them on the Internet, without a state license, and without following a slew of safety regulations - such as bonding, pre-fight physicals and having an ambulance at the ready - the State of Texas claims in Travis County Court. It demands fines and an injunction against Benjamin Jackson dba X-Treme Boxing Entertainment and other X-Treme entities, which staged fights at Bubba Moose Sports Bar in Lewisville and Club Uropa in Dallas.
