LOS ANGELES (CN) - Arsenio Hall's former housekeeper and personal assistant says the television celebrity denied her meal breaks, stiffed her on overtime and fired her after she took time off to have surgery to repair an on-the-job shoulder injury.
Sonia Martinez says in Superior Court that during her "entire employment" from 1998 to 2009, she was "never allowed" to take meal breaks. She also says Williams stiffed her on overtime for the past four years.
She says her shoulder injury resulted "from constant rotating in connection with the cleaning responsibilities."
Martinez seeks unspecified damages and penalties for lost wages.
She is represented by Larry Lee with Diversity Law Group.
