Nike Manager Accused of Sexual Harassment

FAIRFIELD, Calif. (CN) - Nike Retail Services refused to rein in a district manager who sexually harassed and manhandled an employee for more than a year, the woman claims in Solano County Superior Court.

Shauntae Edwards claims Nike refused to respond to her complaints of "pervasive and severe" harassment from manager Ryan Taylor, and refused her request to transfer away from its Vacaville store.

Edwards claims Taylor "backed her up against things," put his hands on her, "licked his tongue at" her, "brushed his pelvis" against her, and grabbed her from behind while she was bent over and said, "when you goin' let me fuck, or words to that effect."

She seeks punitive damages and attorney's fees. She is represented by Arthur Navarette of San Jose.
