1.) Forgoing his $5 billion demand for border-wall funding, President Donald Trump announced a deal with congressional leadership Friday to end the ongoing partial government shutdown and fund the government until Feb. 15.

2.) Former Trump campaign adviser Roger Stone was indicted and arrested Friday, with Special Counsel Robert Mueller accusing the longtime political operative of obstruction of an official proceeding, lying to Congress and witness tampering.
