NFL Back Assaulted Her in Club, Says Woman

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (CN) - After a woman rejected his offer to buy her a drink, Kansas City Chief running back spit his own drink in her face, saying, "First I'm gonna kill your boyfriend and then I'm gonna kill you, and that's a promise," the woman claims in Jackson County Court.

Ashley Stewart says Johnson's two bodyguards then assaulted her. She says it at all happened at Club Blonde on Oct. 10, a week after she declined Johnson's offer to buy her a drink.

Stewart says club managers called 911 after she was assaulted. She says Johnson tried to spit on her three more times as he walked to his car. And she claims Johnson has a history of violence against women, which the NFL and the Kansas City Chiefs are aware of.

She sued only Johnson, for assault and battery, negligence and distress. She is represented by Kirra Jones and Charles Speer.
