WASHINGTON (CN) - Soldiers in Afghanistan will get new camouflage, the Army announced Friday, after a four-month study.

Beginning in the summer, soldiers will begin switching to fire-resistant uniforms printed with the MultiCam pattern, which was determined to best fit the diverse terrain in Afghanistan.

The determination was made after 750 soldiers were asked to compare six patterns to eight different environments.

The army has already made several changes to soldier uniforms since operating in Afghanistan.
