New Indictment Against Somali Pirate

MANHATTAN (CN) - A Somali pirate who hijacked the Maersk Alabama last year had hijacked two other ships before that, one of which is still being held hostage, federal prosecutors said in a superseding indictment.

Abdulwali Abdukhadir Musé was captured by the U.S. Navy in the Indian Ocean after three of his cohorts were killed, each with a single shot, while they held the Alabama's captain hostage.

Pirates tried unsuccessfully to hijack the Maersk Alabama again in November 2009. The crew fought them off.
