WASHINGTON (CN) - President Obama has established two committees to advise him on the effective and efficient enforcement of laws protecting copyrights, patents, trademarks, trade secrets, and other forms of intellectual property.
The first committee will be called the Senior Intellectual Property Enforcement Advisory Committee to be composed of the heads or deputy heads of cabinet agencies to develop a Joint Strategic Plan every three years to enforce intellectual property laws.
The second committee will be charged with implementing the Joint Strategic Plan and will be called the Intellectual Property Enforcement Advisory Committee. It will be composed of the heads of departments and agencies charged with enforcing intellectual property law.
