Nevada Supreme Court

INSURANCE - A group of doctors won declaratory relief against a group of insurers under a statute that requires insurers to promptly consider and then pay or deny their insured's claim. The en banc high court held that medical providers do not have a private right of action against insurers who fail to promptly pay claims, but providers may seek administrative remedies before the Nevada Department of Insurance. See ruling.
