Neighbor Sues NFL Legend Rosey Grier

LOS ANGELES (CN) - NFL football legend Roosevelt "Rosey" Grier "exposed himself" to a friend and refused to pay her for managing his finances and construction work on his home, she claims in court.

Jana Young sued Grier, now an author, television host and ordained Christian minister, in Superior Court. She alleges breach of contract, breach of implied-in-law contract, fraud, sexual battery and intentional infliction of emotional distress.

Young claims she was Grier's friend and neighbor when he hired her in 2012 to take care of his finances. She says she also paid contractors out of her own pocket to renovate Grier's home and oversaw the work.

As well as refusing to pay Young or the workers, Grier kept furniture, televisions, carpeting and fixtures that Young had bought for the home, the complaint states.

"Grier took further advantage of Young. While construction was ongoing, Grier disclosed to Young that he had no place to stay. Young offered and allowed Grier to stay in her extra bedroom during the construction," the 8-page lawsuit states. "However, while Grier was staying in Young's home, Grier purposefully exposed himself, completely nude, to Young without her consent. He asked her 'how do you like it?'"

After that incident, Young says, she told Grier to move out and severed their relationship.

But when Young went to Grier's home to update him on the construction, Grier attacked her again, she claims.

"Without Young's consent, Grier inserted his hand inside Young's pants and undergarments while contemporaneously telling her 'You feel like a virgin.' Young attempted to stop Grier's touch, but was unsuccessful. She immediately left Grier's house and ran to her home," the lawsuit states.

Grier, 81, was a defensive tackle for the New York Giants and was part of the "Fearsome Foursome" of the Los Angeles Rams. He was Robert Kennedy's bodyguard during the politician's 1968 run for president, and helped capture Sirhan Sirhan after he assassinated Kennedy.

Young seeks punitive damages and costs.

She is represented by Leonard Siegel with Kulik Gottesman & Siegel of Sherman Oaks.
