OKLAHOMA CITY (CN) - After Ryan Wonderly's roommates reported him to Southern Nazarene University for possessing child pornography, the college allowed him "to literally walk across the street" to Bethany First Church of the Nazarene, where he molested at least five little girls as its intern elementary pastor and then its full-time elementary pastor, the girls' parents claim in Oklahoma County Court.
Wonderly has been sentenced to 20 years in prison on each of nine counts of indecent and lewd acts with children, and 35 years in prison on each of four counts of rape by instrumentation, the complaint states. Some of his victims were as young as 6.
Plaintiffs demand punitive damages for negligence, negligent misrepresentation and other charges.
