SAN JOSE (CN) - Fourteen moving-company workers in California and Florida are accused of extorting customers across the country by offering extremely low estimates, then holding customers' property for ransom as they jack up the price. Federal prosecutors say the men defrauded and extorted hundreds of customers this way.
Here are the defendants: Amit Ezyoni, 36, of Boca Raton, Fla.; Asaf Nass, 34; Limor Gefen, 31, both of Santa Clara, Calif.; Eli Kaupp, 26, of Lakeland, Fla.; Daniel Rangel, 32, of Gilroy, Calif.; Barak Braunshtain, 32, of Margate, Fla.; Randy Goldberg, 37, of Aventura, Fla.; Brandy Aycock, 31, of Davie, Fla.; David Lamondin, 35, of San Diego, Calif.; Matthew Sandomir, 31, of Davie, Fla.; Stuart Sheinfeld, 36, of Las Vegas, Nev.; Carol Hauessler, 30, of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Christopher Sariol, 27, of Hallandale Beach, Fla.; and Eduardo Subirats, 31, of Miami.
