N.Y. Court Allows Town |To Condemn Farmland

NEW YORK (CN) - The New York Supreme Court has affirmed the town of Brookhaven's decision to condemn 39 acres of farmland slated for development, ruling that the "preservation of farmland confers a benefit upon the public, since it enables residents of the town to enjoy locally grown produce and scenic views."
