JUDICIARY - The state high court rejected a recommendation by the New Mexico Judicial Standards Commission to discipline a judge who used his position to fix traffic tickets for friends and family members. Instead, the court ordered the judge removed from the bench immediately, because he broke his promise in prior disciplinary proceedings to correct his behavior, proving he cannot be trusted to measure the credibility of litigants.
