Must Be Some Sort of a Record …

(CN) - An 86-year old woman has been charged with shoplifting - the 61st time she has been arrested since 1956, officials said in Chicago. Ella Orko was arrested on Aug. 1 after she allegedly stuffed $252 worth of groceries into her pants, including wrinkle cream, salmon, batteries and instant coffee.

Orko is charged with felony shoplifting. Police say she has used as many as 20 aliases.

Orko has been arrested 61 times and has 13 shoplifting convictions, court records state. She was arrested for the first time in 1956 for petty larceny and again in 1958 for grand larceny, according to The Associated Press.
