Music Copyright

The owner of a copyright for a song called “Phone Sex” cannot pursue his claims that the song “Girl 6” — performed by Prince for Spike Lee’s film of the same name — infringed on the copyright, a federal court in New York ruled, finding the owner is barred from relitigating claims that he previously lost in court in Florida.
