Mural removal

RIVERSIDE, Calif. — A federal court in California granted the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ request to dismiss a suit brought by a landscape architect and the Mural Conservancy of Los Angeles challenging the destruction of the Bicentennial Freedom Mural in Corona, California. The mural — deemed ineligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places — is set for removal due to concerns over lead paint.
