BRONX (CN) - The Archimedes Academy public school allowed a gang to rob and shoot her son, a mother says in Bronx County Court. Shirley King says the school did not prevent the gang members from entering the school with firearms and shooting her son.
She says her son Carlos suffered permanent injuries in the on April 3, 2008 shooting and had to transfer schools.
She demands punitive damages from New York City, the NYC Board of Education, the NYC Department of Education and Archimedes Academy. She is represented by Richard Kubrick.
