Mortgage fraud

MADISON, Wis. — A federal judge ordered four attorneys associated with the Mortgage Law Group to pay $10.8 million in restitution plus $18.4 million in civil penalties to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau for taking advanced fees in violation of the Consumer Financial Protection Act.
