Morning-After Polls Show Trump and Clinton Tied

(CN) - Despite the prevailing view that Wednesday night's presidential candidate debate was "game, set, match" for Democrat Hillary Clinton, polls released Thursday morning show her race against Republican Donald Trump remains essentially tied.

The latest Rasmussen Reports poll finds Trump holding a 3-point lead Thursday morning in a four-person race that includes Libertarian Gary Johnson and the Green party's Jill Stein.

Trump garners the support of 43 percent of likely voters, compared with Clinton's 40 percent, Johnson's 6 percent and Stein's 3 percent.

But Trump's lead is well-within the poll's margin of error.

Meanwhile a pair of polls released by Investor's Business Daily/TIPP, show Clinton ahead by 2-points in a head to head matchup with Trump, besting him 43 percent to 41 percent, and Trump ahead by a single point when the field is expanded to include Stein and Johnson.

Thursday's daily Los Angeles Times/USC Tracking poll has the race as a dead heat, with Clinton and Trump each getting 44 percent.

In an entirely different realm, Twitter reported Thursday that Trump dominated the conversation on its platform during and after the third and final presidential debate.

Twitter says that the Republican nominee was the subject of nearly 60 percent of the tweets sent about the candidates.

The social media platform says the top tweeted moment was Trump and Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton's discussion about treatment of women. The second most tweeted was Trump's refusal to say if he'll accept the results of the election should he lose.

According to Google Trends, the top issues researched were both candidates' stances on abortion, immigration and guns.

It says people also googled the Clinton foundation, Trump's position on the Iraq war, and questions regarding Clinton's emails during her time as secretary of state.
