More U.S. Mercenaries Accused In Iraq

WASHINGTON (CN) - Unity Resources Group mercenaries sent to Iraq by RTI International shot two women to death on Oct. 9. 2007, including Marani Awanis Manook, whose three orphans want punitive damages sufficient to deter North Carolina-based RTI from continuing its alleged pattern of war crimes.

The mercenaries are accused of killing the women by shooting 40 or more bullets into their car, with no warning, as they drove down Karrada Street in Baghdad. See the federal complaint.
