More Ripples From the Economic Crisis

ORLANDO (CN) - In an increasingly common complaint, a hotel resort has sued a corporation for six figures, after the company canceled an annual conference. Rosen's Shingle Creek Resort claims Onex Corp. dba The Warranty Group owes it $184,000 - 85% of the 684 room-nights it booked in 2007 for a February 2009 conference which Onex canceled in January.

Onex is a private equity group. The resort is represented by Ted Edwards with Foley & Lardner, in Orange County Court.
