The Ninth Circuit ruled Thursday that timber giant Sierra Pacific and others can’t duck a settlement with the feds over the 2007 Moonlight Fire, finding the company didn’t prove that government misrepresentations made prior to the $55 million settlement amounted to fraud on the court.
