Montana AG cleared

HELENA, Mont. — The Montana Supreme Court dismissed a misconduct case against Montana Attorney General Austin Knudsen despite agreeing with the Montana Commission on Practice that he had violated rules of professional conduct when he disobeyed a court order. The panel that handled the case violated Knudsen's due process rights by excluding his expert witness without giving him a chance to respond. However, Chief Justice Cory Swanson wrote that the court’s opinion serves as a “public admonition” of his misconduct.
