Montana abortion initiative

HELENA, Mont. — The Montana Supreme Court ruled that the state attorney general’s ballot statement does not meet the statutory requirement to inform voters about the proposed ballot initiative, which would create an explicit right to make and carry out decisions about one’s own pregnancy, including the right to abortion. The ballot statement prepared by the court is certified, however.
