Monopoly Alleged For America’s Cup

MANHATTAN (CN) - In a federal antitrust complaint, Team New Zealand Ltd. claims the Societe Nautique De Geneve Team Alinghi, AC Management, and Ernesto Bertarelli are monopolizing the market to sell sponsorships for America's Cup sailing teams.

Team New Zealand claims the defendants conspired with a "sham yacht club" from Spain - Real Federaction Espanola de Vela - to keep control of the Cup races in their hands. (Click the icon to see a related complaint in state court involving the same parties.)
