SAN ANTONIO (CN) - A 25-year-old woman pleaded guilty to selling her 5-year-old daughter to pornographers for an apartment and a used car, federal prosecutors said. Jennifer Louis Richards pleaded guilty to one count of selling a child, "knowing that as a consequence of the sale, the child would be subject to sexually explicit conduct," the U.S. Attorney's Office said.
Richards said she was promised a used car and an apartment. She faces 20 years to life in prison and a fine of up to $250,000.
Jury selection for the trial of Richards' co-defendants, 40-year-old Sean Michael Block, is scheduled for May 26. Block is charged with offering to sell a child and distributing child pornography.
