LOS ANGELES (CN) - A mentally disabled native-born citizen was illegally deported to Mexico, where he spent three months lost, eating out of garbage cans, bathing in rivers and sleeping outside, his mother claims in Federal Court.
Maria Carbajal says her son, Peter Guzman, 30, depends upon her for his daily needs, and says it took her three months of daily visits to morgues, shelters, churches and jails for her to find him. She demands damages from DHS Secretary Michael Chertoff, LA County Sheriff Leroy Baca and other officials who cooperated to deport him.
