Model Says Laser Treatment Ruined Him

PORTLAND, Ore. (CN) - Laser hair-removal treatments gave a man permanent scars that ruined his chance at a modeling career, he claims in Multnomah County Court.

Samir Hodroj says he visited Forever Young Cosmetic Enhancement last summer "in anticipation of a commercial modeling job."

He says Forever Young recommended six to 10 sessions, at $700 a pop, to permanently remove his facial hair.

But during the fifth session, Hodroj says, he was badly burned "in numerous places on his face." Despite going on to complete his tenth session, Hodroj says the treatments left him with patchy facial hair for the rest of his life and permanent scarring from the burns.

He says Forever Young fired the employee who administered his fifth treatment.

Hodroj wants $499,000 in damages. He is represented by Paul Galm of Beaverton.
