NEW YORK (CN) – A former booking manager at 1 Model Management used the company’s trade secrets, including models’ contact information and contract details, to persuade clients to switch management to a competitor, the modeling agency claims in New York Supreme Court.
1 Model accuses Vivien Wang of breaching her non-compete agreement by using the confidential tools of her trade to get models to follow her to DNA Model Management, where she was hired after resigning at 1 Model.
The plaintiff says it maintains “strict secrecy” with its model contact information and other invaluable trade secrets, because designers, photographers and advertisers can only contact a model through her agency.
1 Model wants an injunction preventing Wang from disclosing confidential information or soliciting its models until May 1, 2009.
The plaintiff agency is represented by McCue Sussmane & Zapfel.
