Missouri Bank Robbed Twice in Two Days

ST. LOUIS (CN) - A downtown bank was robbed twice in 23 hours this week.

The Pulaski Bank at 9th and Olive streets was hit around noon Wednesday and again at 11 a.m. Thursday.

The first suspect handed a teller a note stating that he had a weapon, but he didn't show one. The robber was a black man in his 30's or 40's with a medium build.

The second suspect handed a teller a similar note stating he had a weapon, but never showed one. He was a black man in his 50's or 60's with a slim build.

An FBI spokesperson said in a statement email that there is no indication that the two robberies were related. Both men left with an undisclosed amount of money.

The average haul from a bank robbery has been estimated at wildly varying amounts, but nearly all the estimates are $3,000 or less.
