Mislabeled Prescription

A federal court in Pennsylvania denied a pharmaceutical packaging company’s request to dismiss a wrongful death suit relating to its mislabeling of a medication prescribed to prevent blood clots, heart attacks and strokes. A man took the wrong drug for several weeks, believing it to be his correct prescription, had a heart attack and died.

SCRANTON, Pa. — A federal court in Pennsylvania denied a pharmaceutical packaging company’s request to dismiss a wrongful-death suit relating to its mislabeling of a medication prescribed to prevent blood clots, heart attacks and strokes. A man took the wrong drug for several weeks, believing it to be his correct prescription, had a heart attack and died.
