FRAUD, ATTORNEYS - The defendant's parents had a judgment entered against them in Arizona because their son used a motorcycle the father bought as security for legal services but failed to pay the bill. The Minnesota Court of Appeals found that the law firm waived its argument on the issue of whether the Arizona court had jurisdiction. However, the firm obtained the judgment through fraud, as an attorney alleged that a promissory note was signed by the defendant and his father, when it was signed by the defendant only. Reversed. See ruling.
