Mining Dispute

In a case arising from the nation of Guinea’s decision to end a mining rights agreement, a federal court in New York ordered discovery into whether the plaintiff mining company engaged in bribery in connection with its claims against George Soros and certain organizations he allegedly controlled. The company claims the defendants “induced Guinea” to breach the lucrative mining agreement.
