LOS ANGELES (CN) - Verne Troyer, known as "Mini Me" in the "Austin Powers" movies, has sued TMZ Productions and SugarDVD for $20 million in Federal Court, claiming they advertised and threatened to distribute a sex tape he made with his girlfriend.
Troyer claims he found out on June 25 that the explicit tape had been leaked to defendants, including celebrity gossip blog TMZ.com. He claims TMZ advertised the videotape and posted a clip of it to titillate readers.
The site allegedly states that defendant Kevin Blatt "is entertaining a 100K offer from SugarDVD to distribute" the video.
Troyer says the defendants ignored his demands to take down the copyrighted material and continue to tease the video. He is represented by Edwin McPherson and Tracy Rane.
