HELENA, Mont. – A lower court improperly ruled in favor of environmental groups challenging a permit that granted the discharge of certain pollutants from a mine into a stream, the Montana Supreme Court ruled.
The Montana Department of Environmental Quality had already fairly interpreted the legality of the permit before its issuance.
