Miley Cyrus Wants|Alleged Stalker Restrained

LOS ANGELES (CN) - Miley Cyrus seeks a restraining order against a man who she claims told police "that Cyrus communicated with him through the radio and her songs, and he believes that her songs are telling him to come to see her so that they may be together."

Cyrus sued Devon Meek in Superior Court, claiming "he is a credible threat to Cyrus."

Meek was arrested on a mental health hold on May 16, "because he was found near property he believes is owned by Cyrus," according to the complaint.

It continues: "When he was taken into custody by the LAPD, Meek claimed that Cyrus communicated with him through the radio and her songs, and he believes that her songs are telling him to come to see her so that they may be together. Medical experts at the Los Angeles County mental health facility holding Meek have stated that Meek is persistent in his goals and he will not give up in the pursuit of his delusions. Indeed, he has stated that when he is released from the mental health facility, he will not stop seeking Cyrus. Meek's conduct has thus placed Cyrus in fear for her safety and, based on Meek's mental state, there is an actual threat of future harm. This behavior has led the lead investigator from the LAPD's Threat Management Unit for this case to opine that Meek represents a credible threat to Cyrus' safety. Accordingly, Cyrus requests that this court issue the orders requested in the concurrently filed Request for Civil Harassment Restraining Order for the maximum time period permitted by the statute - 3 years."

Cyrus is represented by Bryan Sullivan, with Early, Sullivan, Wright, Gizer & McRae.
