DETROIT (CN) - Microsoft's Xbox and Sony's Playstation 2 controllers violate three Michigan inventors' 1994 patent on a remote-control video game controller, and while preparing for trial after being sued for this in 2004, and losing a motion for summary judgment, Microsoft and Sony willfully repeated the infringement in their Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 games, the inventors say. The inventors - Peter Hochstein, Jeffrey Tenenbaum and Harold Milton Jr. - want the new infringements adjudicated in this lawsuit, not the original one, which is scheduled for trial in August.
