Microsoft Sells Defective Zunes|And Dishonors Warranty, Class Claims

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. (CN) - Microsoft sells defectively designed portable "Zune" MP3 music players whose LCD display panels crack during normal use, and has a blanket policy of rejecting warranty claims for this, a class action claims in Middlesex County Court.

"Because Microsoft's standard written warranty for the Zune includes a Washington State choice of law clause - but no choice of forum clause - plaintiffs bring this action on behalf of themselves and those similarly situated for damages and injunctive relief under the Washington Consumer Protection Act and the Washington Uniform Commercial Code," the complaint states.

Plaintiffs are represented by Henry Wolfe with Galex Wolf of North Brunswick, N.J.
