Microplastics in water bottle

CHICAGO — A federal court tossed a consumer fraud class action against the company that owns the bottled water brand Ice Mountain. The label says the product is “100% Natural Spring Water,” but is allegedly contaminated with synthetic microplastics; the court says that the water itself is “natural,” even if microplastics are suspended in it, and that no “reasonable customer” would feel duped by the presence of microscopic plastic particles in the water.
