LOS ANGELES (CN) - Michael Jackson and his former manager both claim five cars from the April exhibition of the King of Pop's belongings, says Darren Julien, whose auction house ran the exhibition as part of a confidential settlement agreement after Jackson sued Julien's Auctions to stop the planned sale of virtually everything he owned.
Jackson and his former manager Tohme R. Tohme both claim three Rolls Royce cars, two Fruehof trailers and a Ford van, along with money from ticket sales to the exhibition and the singer's security deposit.
Jackson allegedly told Julien that Tohme no longer had authority to act on behalf of Jackson or fellow defendant MJJ Productions, while Tohme threatened to sue Julien's to get the five vehicles, according to the Superior Court complaint.
MJJ Productions is wholly owned by Jackson.
Julien wants the court to determine who gets the cars.
He is represented by Gerald Hawxhurst and Daryl Crone with Baker Marquart.
