ATTORNEY FEES - The Michigan Court of Appeals found that an attorney was improperly held as jointly liable for repaying money that had been wrongly disbursed to the wife as attorney fees in a divorce case for attorney fees. Although the funds were ostensibly disbursed to the wife and her attorney jointly, the disbursement belonged to the wife until the attorney obtained authorization to use the funds to pay his fees.
