MANHATTAN (CN) – Federal prosecutors have unsealed an indictment that accuses a Mexican mayor of trafficking in multi-kilo loads of cocaine. Ruben Gil, mayor of Izucar de Matamoros in Puebla state, will be arraigned on those charges on Thursday, the U.S. Attorney’s office said. Gil was arrested in California on March 23.
