Meow Wolf wins sanctions against disgruntled artist

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — A New Mexico federal judge issued sanctions against artist Lauren Oliver, who sued the immersive art company Meow Wolf over the copyright to her Space Owl sculpture. The company will bring evidence that the artist deleted emails relevant to the case because discovery found that the artist was texting about hiring a lawyer the day before the mass deletion, which may have been meant to prevent them from coming up in court. She will have to pay the associated costs and fees.
