Medicare Crook Gets 10 Years In Prison

LOS ANGELES - Arthur Pilavyan, 33, of Altadena, defrauded Medicare of $7 million by paying "patients" to receive home health care, and was sentenced to pay restitution and 10 years in federal prison for it. Pilavyan conspired with Lourdes Perez, who ran Provident Home Health Care Services, and who paid Pilavyan $1,200 to $4,800 per patient for his "referrals" - she is spending 46 months in prison.
