A Texas pharmacist and his son and their pharmacies defrauded the federal workers’ compensation program of $3.5 million for “tainted prescriptions," the government claims in a federal complaint.

AUSTIN — Texas pharmacist Brian D. Haney, his son and their pharmacies defrauded the federal workers’ compensation program of $3.5 million for “tainted prescriptions that were not eligible for reimbursement and should not have been paid,” the government claims in a federal complaint.
