Sanofi-Aventis submitted false test results to get FDA approval for its antibiotic Ketek, despite knowing that it causes liver damage, the Estate of Mary Strickland claims in Queens County Court, N.Y.

Another patient claims he got toxic epidermic necrolysis and Stevens Johnson syndrome from the seizure medicine Dilantin. He sued Pharmacia, Pfizer, Parke-Davis, and Warner Lambert, in Los Angeles Federal Court.
