MediaNews Group Paper Accused of Racism

SALINAS, Calif. (CN) - A black reporter says that three days after he complained that the Monterey County Herald and MediaNews Group paid him less than white reporters with less experience, the newspaper fired him. Plaintiff Andre Briscoe also was a union officer in the newspaper's branch of the Newspaper Guild.

Briscoe is represented in Monterey County Court by Ray Artiano with Stutz, Artiano & Shinoff of San Diego.
